Nothing at all. Its just a commercial day exploited by the candy company, card companies and flower companies.
But I am certain that several posters will give some kind "valid" reason to celebrate v-day; despite the fact that there are 365 days in a year where a person can do something special 150 days and yet if that person forget to do something on v-day all those other days that the person did something special are out the door.
Really I just do not understand; especially when something like the example I gave happens.

i think vatentines day was made by some one who just wanted to feel special. it is a day to reconize the one you love. there may be 365 days in a year but how many of them do people really take the time out to do something specail for there segnificate other. you can think of it in that way it really dose make since....

Some other holiday a merchant created to make money. I agree with AMO. Love is shown every day, not once a yr. because it says so on the calendar.

nothing... it a stupid holiday that women force men to celebrate to prove how much they love them, and so women can superior to each other... it's all crap... i don't celebrate the stupid day. i show people everyday how much i love them... a stupid box of chocolates and $90 flowers that are normally $12 don't prove anything...
