Root beer generally has a head of foam on top when poured. Try just drinking the head of foam off the top of the root beer it hold a lot of flavor.

"Head" is the white frothy substance that form on the top of root beer and regular beer when it is poured into a glass... To prevent a lot of head, tilt the glass that you are pouring into. Hope that helps!
