Tell me one thing that modern time has discovered that can be used for the benfit of the mankind. Exactly they are so less that we can count them on our fingers. So if our forefathers did do something innovative, but still people like you can't stop criticizing them.

It would be a bit stupid to assume that modern man is more intelligent than his forebears.
Have you ever heard of some bloke called Newton? He was quite smart, for his day, but not intelligent enough to invent a can opener.
And Charles Babbage,he invented a computer in 1850 that required 4000 high precision machined parts that would perform calculations to 20 decimal places. The problem was (this illustrates how un-intelligent he was), the technology didn't exist to mass produce high precision engineered components. What the duffer should have done,of course, was invent a cnc machine first, then he could have made his 'difference engine' 200 years before the British Museum made one to his design and drawings.(He would have been pleased to know that it actually works).

Already having technology makes it easier to invent more.

Other big change, widespread public education.
All children are taught the basics of science and don't have to discover everything, slowly, on their own. Any kid who passes physics 101 today knows more about the real world than any top scientist did 100 years ago.

Final ingredient. Wealth. We are advanced enough and rich enough that most people don't have to live their lives as farmers just to get enough food to live. Luckily, many young people chose to become full-time scientists and engineers.

Scientific research used to be only for the extremely rich and royalty. Now any one can be one, it's just simple numbers. Today there are millions of scientists.
200 years ago, there were probably only a few hundred full-time scientists in the entire world.

The research of today is based on the serial researches already done by our earlier scientists. That is why it takes a bit less time to find out a new thing. However, a century back there was no infrastructure available. Scientists had to find out a new theory and it took a lot of time. I saw the toolbox, in NASA museum in Washington DC, used by right brothers for making the first aircraft... look, the tools used by today's fitters / mechanics are 100 times better and advanced than those used by the rights... and they did their job endlessly without caring for time…

It's not so much the intelligence, it's the foundation work that allows things to happen There were no industrial research corporations like we have today. It was mostly independently rich people playing with science that made discoveries about electricity. Today we have the funding and the communications to develop and share technology. Not so even 150 years ago.

progression is a steady technique - each little thing takes from previous innovations and provides to them. We had different paradigms approximately how the international works and different priorities, civilizations have been narrower and man or woman questioning became especially lots taboo. maximum folk left their destiny interior the palms of deities or bigger authority in perception this is all there became to do. At one factor, technologies have been given its footing, philosophy went from divine innovations to greater complicated arithmetic and so on. and so on. each little thing stands on what has till now been time-honored, you will desire to no longer make a carriage earlier somebody invented the wheel, appropriate? those days, anyone can get entry to limitless quantities of information on the internet, technology has compressed consistently greater effective technologies into smaller problems with which anyone advantages from. That, in turn, makes it possible for greater rapid progression in only about each area. We did no longer have those issues 20 years in the past via fact we did no longer, the stepping stones have been too some distance aside and the greater time is going on, the closer they get to one yet another. the excuses are especially lots as limitless via fact the persisted progression of springing up.
