Can I claim my mothers death claim on my taxes since I have the receipt showing that I paid for her funeral?

My mother passed away in April, and I paid for her services, can I file that on my taxes?

funeral expenses are not deductible on the Federal Tax return

No, sweetie, sorry. That's not an allowable deduction. If your mother had earned income for the year, you do need to file a return on her behalf and indicate that she is deceased on the return.
