4 egg whites
1 cup caster sugar
1 1/2 cups of cream
1 banana
250g strawberries
2 kiwi fruit
pulp from 2 passionfruit

Preheat oven to 150 degree. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Draw a 20cm circle on the paper.
Use a electric beaters, beat the egg whites in a large dry bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add the sugar, beating until the mixture is thick and glossy and the sugar has dissolved.
To test if the sugar has dissolved, rub a small amount of the mixture between your fingers. The mixture should feel slightly gritty. If it feels very gritty, continue beating for a few more minutes.
Spread the meringue mixture onto the tray inside the circle.
Shape the meringue by running a flat-bladed knife up and sown the edge of the meringue, making furrows around the side. This will strengthen the sides, stopping the from collapsing, and it gives a good finish. Bake for 40 minutes. Turn the oven off and allow to cool completely.
Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Peal and slice the banana . Halve the strawberries and peel and slice the kiwi fruit. Decorate the pavlova with cream and fresh fruit. Spoon over the passionfruit and serve.

Check any good cook book, that's the easiest. But if you want a quickie, try this: Any leftover white rice or any type of left over noodles, mix with eggs, sugar and whatever fruit or bread, including raisin bread, to make a cobbler or Indian pudding dish. Quick, inexpensive and environmentally friendly.Cuts down on food waste.

Dessert:

Fruit & Yogurt with a mint leaf as garnish.

Lemon curd in a Filo basket with a chocolate mint sprig garnish.

Trail mix sprinkled over Yogurt with slivers of Dark chocolate as a garnish.

After a hearty meal you need something refreshing as a finish.

deep fry some biscuts like the twenty five cent ones in the cold food section in the tube then put them in powder sugar. They are good warm. (don't deep fry them in the tube silly) I would suggest a corn based oil.
sometimes we get strawberries and do that microwave chocolate and dip. mmm thoes are better than you think.
