My b/f thinks I ask too many questions. ( I don't really. He is a quiet person, so sometimes I ask questions to get him to talk) The other day we were walking past a wall full of small holes and I said, I wonder where they came from. He smiled and said , 'From shooting people who ask too many questions.' I knew what he meant, so I asked if he would come rescue me if I was to be shot at , and he said, " No I would be the one who pulls the trigger". I know he was not being serious, but still it was not funny at all.

Oh and he thinks he has a very good sense of humor, but I think he was being very mean to me. I was upset. I wonder if he really loves me.

yeah that was pretty harsh... I could see how he might have thought that was funny and had it been to one of his friends I would say that that was funny but to his girlfriend I'm thinking not so much... maybe you should just explain to him that you only ask questions to get him to talk and that his comment was rude and hurt your feelings... if he can't understand or accept that then maybe it's time to look elsewhere... there has to be some kind of compromise between you asking questions and him being rude...

Ya know he sounds like a jerk. If he is shy, then he should not act that way. Obviously he does not want you to learn more about him and he's telling you this, whether it be a joke or not. I think it was very mean to say, I dated a shy person like this once, whenever I would ask him questions, there would be no real reply to start with. When I tried to ask more he would get huffy. Sometimes I even found myself asking the same question again because we never talked much. Guess what happened? We stopped going out.

Of course he loves you or he wouldn't be with you right?...He hurt your feelings so maybe you should make him aware that he got the point across to you already about you asking too many questions so please stop because it isn't funny any more it's getting to be hurtful....Because some people just don't know when or where to stop and draw the line....Sarcastic people like to make themselves laugh because they think there funny though reality we see them as idiots instead of funny.......

Just dump the a** hole. Unless of course you like being treated like a peice of hud, then stay with him. The verbal abuse will only get worse, trust me.

Don't let youself become a victim like so many other women! You deserve better, find someone who will treat you right and that likes you the way you are!

Yeah I have no idea what to say...good luck with that. Tell him he hurt your feelings and stop asking questions...just sit there in silence...he will miss your questions eventually. Dont worry I am the same way.

Yes he was being rude. Maybe you should take a break from him and when you are gone I bet he misses all those questions. Or maybe you should find a guy who actually has a personality and talks so you don't have to try to get him to talk

He said it as a joke so take it as a joke. Tell him that you didn't think that it's funny.
Don't read so far into it that you start to question your relationship.

I agree with shorty.
My fiance and I do it all the time to.

If you know the both of you all truely love each other than crack a little joke back. My husband and I do that all the time. We get along great. Good Luck!

yea he was. he probably thinks that you are nagging him and when someone jokes around like that there is a hint of truth. honestly if he is not willing to open up to you without you getting on his case then i think it's time you open up your horizons.in my experience the quiet ones are the ones to watch out for.
