I am trying to recreate the Autochrome color glass plate photographic transparency process (1907-1931). To recreate, I need a professional quality panchromatic black and white photographic emulsion. Where can I purchase this or who can make it? Note: the commercially available products like liquid light are useless-they are not panchromatic, and are extremely grainy.

If you are familiar with the field of holography there is a company by the name of Colourholographic which produces an ultra-fine grain panchromatic silver halide emulsion. I am not certain if it can be used for the Autochrome process but it is worth a try. Also have you tried looking through the catalog of photographers formulary, they sometimes carry some unusual liquid emulsions there as I recall. Perhaps if you cant find it there, maybe you can talk to the people at Oriental papers, perhaps to see if you can buy panchromatic emulsion from them which they use in their RC papers.
