It's a matter of style, you should use colors from your wedding decorations if possible. In our wedding the colors for everything from decorations to dresses was red, white and black.

Have the bridesmaids wear a color that is flattering to them. Don't stress about it, and let them decide. You can choose just about any color, but try to aim for the lighter shades. The guys should wear a vest that matches the bridesmaid's dresses.
I got married at the end of last April, and my gals wore light green (they voted from three possible colors). They wore separates dresses from Alfred Angelo, and each gal got the top that flattered them most and fit their budget. They all wore the same skirt. The guys wore light green vests with their tuxes. My dress was white with pink accents, and I think pink and green go well, so the girls carried bouquets with pale pink roses.

Black goes with just about everything. The men can wear silver or gray, even blue under their suits, depends on what color you pick for the dresses. You don't want them to clash. As far as the dresses, pick a color that you really like and find a style that you all agree on and that is flattering. Best wishes!

You will be in trouble if you are ordering your dresses through a store....I ordered mine in the beginning of January and the ship date was April 5. And it will be worse now because of prom. My wedding is April 28 and my colors are coral, white, and pink. The bridesmaids are wearing coral and the groomsmen are wearing black tuxes with coral vests. But like I said good luck getting them because it takes about 12 weeks to get them in. Plus you are supposed to leave time for alterations.

Why don't you talk to you bridesmaids about it. See if they have a preference in it since it's them that will be wearing the dress. Come to a compromise between their suggestions and your own personal tastes. After you figure that out, you can find something that compliments that color with one for the men to wear.

Maybe you could cordinate the girls' dresses with the guys... if they are wearing white shirts and a shiny silver vest have the girls wear a black dreass with a white shawl or a silver bolero jacket? Good luck.

What's your favorite color? I would stay away from dark colors in the spring like black or navy blue.

What is your favorite color? I would go with your absolute favorite color for your bridesmaids. Such as purple and black.
