I did not encounter this problem until I used a cleaning utilities program. Has anyone encountered this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it. Thanks!

Run scandisk.

How - click my computer right click C: then left click properties, then left click tools, then click now on error checking Dont tick any boxes just press Start - if it comes back that it failed then tick bottom box & click Start then click top box & click start.

Don't assume the first solution you see. Trust me, there are literally thosuands of reasons. It happenes to me too. I have to yank the plug out during the brief moment it is safely shut down...
