1-go to start , run then type msconfig then fist chose startup box and uncheck the useless program u know and then chose service and do the same un check the un wanted progarme.
2- if u have a programes start automaticaly when u start ur computer disable it " like MSN , MCQ , yahoo messanger ,weather channel ...."
3- try to use cleaner for ur computer there is a free usefull one named CCleaner download it and use it other wise u can buy registry mechanic it's the best and also try anti spyware like spyware doctor ....
