hi, i need to come up with some finger food for a party, but at least two of the guests don't eat cheese (or any dairy). can anyone recommend yummy (and preferably easy) finger food recipes that are free of dairy (or at least cheese)?

I hosted a bridal shower recently and the menu consisted almost entirely of finger foods. The most popular item was strawberry nutella sandwiches. Really easy to make. Get some good bread (not too dense or thick)--I used a high quality whole wheat bread, but mini croissants would also work. Cut the slice into quarters and toast in the oven (unless you're using croissants). Spread Nutella on the toast pieces and top with half a strawberry. I recommend slicing and toasting the bread and slicing the strawberries beforehand. Then assemble the sandwiches just before the party. No microwaving and only the strawberries will need to be refrigerated. Delicious and very pretty.

You can make salmon bites (they are the best). I usually make "cakes or patties" but I suppose just making them smaller and round would be fine too.

Everything I am listing below will be "to taste." I dont really measure, I just keep tasting until I think its good.

Canned alaska salmon (also works well with canned crab or tuna)
Corn meal (to make the ingriedients hold and also for crispiness when frying)
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice to taste (I use the substitute but real lemon juice is probably better)
Mayo (to keep the salmon moist. did you know mayo works well with salmon? even fillets?) You can omit this - since its dairy.
Green onions (optional)
I also use a sprinkle of mozzo cheese but you obviously dont want that ingredient so omit.

Mix these ingredients together and form little balls in your hand. Drop them into a frying pan with the bottom covered with canola oil. Turn until golden and crispy on all sides.

I hope you will try this.

Good luck.

you can make mini sandwiches. put hot dogs on a toothpick. They make a suace for them. That really is a tuff one since my favorite is cheese. But I am lactos intollerant. then you have your cookies, and oh my favorite is rice krispie treats. finger licking good. oh how about veggies with dip.

Why not just serve crackers & salsa or fruit trays
