al b-better check your facts. Last place money at Daytona is around $225,000. I'd rather see that money go to a team that NEEDS it.Morgan Shepard begs, borrows engines ,cars and people.Put up his OWN money? ...Please...

You know with all the new teams this year they should put in a rule about at least trying to race if you qualify. There are so many hungry guys out there (owners, drivers, sponsors etc.) that if you don't attempt to run as hard as you can you don't get to try to qualify for X number of races. That would maybe open it up to new teams that are trying to break in and be full time, legitimate contenders.

Morgan was an excellent driver in the '80's but, now He's just making a living. I cant blame a guy for that, it's what He does but His operation is very low budget and, if He wants to draw a paycheck, He has to save His equipment for next week.

He used the same engine last year for all his races.

i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE YOU GET YOUR INFO OR DO YOU KNOW Morgan Sheppard personnally?? If you think that he gets rich by #1 hauling to a track after building a Race car
#2 paying a pit crew not to mention tires, fuel,
parts, entry fees, eating and feeding and
housing that same crew
and then after qualifying to just go out and run a few laps to make a few thousand dollars , I think you know little or nothing about NASCAR

I hope he does good. He's been trying for a while and I think he deserves at least a top 5.
