I am a male and have a female friend who is my good bud. We hang around with a lot of girls and so on. Everyone knows that I am single and looking. All of those girls tell me I should ask her out. I insist we are just friends but they all think we would make good couples. Now my problem is that this thing ruin my chances with other girls. Anyway I am not interested in her because she is in military and I won't like long distance relationship when she will go oversea. Most of the other girls are her friends first. I know them because of her. Do you guys think that she told them that she is interested in me or they just think we would be good together because we always hanging together? Also how can I get out of her shadow with out being mean

if you are good friends with her it's in your best interest to avoid looking for a relationship with any of her friends...
what would happen if you ended up in a relationship with one of her friends and it didn't work out? it would make things pretty awkward when it was all said and done.
just enjoy what you have and don't try so hard to find that special someone, it's always seems easier to find what you're looking for when you're not really looking.

How about saying, "She is a great person, we are really just friends and to top that off, she will be going overseas soon. Just good friends."

just ignore their comments..... they probably just think u'd be good together.
if ur not interested and she hasn't said anything to you, you don't have a problem.
