We've only been on 2 real dates and talked on the phone a few times. It's nothing serious yet, so I don't want to over do it. But, I can't just ignore the holiday altogether. Any ideas?

Even if you guys were serious... you can never go wrong with the classics (unless she can't eat Chocolate or something). Since I don't know your budget... I'll give you a few money bracket situations:

For the semi-broke:
1. Homemade card
2. One rose = $5 max (about $3 at Food Stores)
3. A tiny Boxes of Sweets = $5

For Under $20:
1. Homemade or Dollar store Card = $2 max
2. A single rose = $5 max
3. A box of Chocolates = $5 - $10 (target or walmart)
4. A little stuff animal
5. Package it nicely = $2 (for the bag to hold things)

For Under $80:
1. A Dozen Roses = $10-35
2. Big Box of Chocolates = $20-35
or
3. A Red Candle Set =$20-40
or
4. Cute Silver Jewelry (not a ring), a Necklace or Bracelet =$20-$80

Hope that helps. If you are creative... then do a theme that mixes with Valentine's Day well. Girls like it when you remember something that they said they liked, so when you can incorporated that, you're good (just make sure it's appropriate).

A small flower arrangement, one rose would even work, and some chocolates. That's a good base gift. I think your only real issue is that you should avoid the Valentine's day card. They are usually about "love" and "be mine" and stuff, it just might be awkward.

get her some flowers, it will let her know that you care, but it won't give her the impression that you are moving too fast. Dont ignore the holiday because that might upset her.

Take her out to eat or to a movie and leave it at that if you get her something...you might be coming on as wanting to commit fast and if she didn't get you something it might upset her...but if she does get you something...suggest a movie afterwards...taking her out should be a gift in itself...Don't forget to hold doors for her.
