i am hoping that one of you guys knows enough about CANADIAN gun laws to help me, there are a few questions i was hoping you could help me with.(need specific answers if possible)

2. what conditions might prevent you from obtain a gun licence?

3. what are the penalties for possession of illegal fire armes, possession of fire armes without a permit and possession of replica fire armes?

4. how do i obtain a gun licence?

5. what laws are in place to prevent people from using fire armes within city limits, as well as the consequances for these acts?

6. what are the goals of the current gun registry program and what special abilities do the investigative officers possess, if any?

7. how do i legaly obtain a fire arme?

8. can i lose my gun licence if convicted of a non violent offence?

1. hand guns, automatics and semi automatics. You are only allowed guns that are meant for hunting, and even then, you need the proper licence.

2. Criminal Record, Not from Canada

3. You can actually go to jail for this or face a hefty fine. Recently in B.C. a man was shot because police thought he had a weapon, but he was just threatening people with a replica

4. Go to City Hall

5. You are not allowed to shoot a gun within city limits (this varies on the province and district) and the penalty can be jail time (how long depending really on what/who/where you were shooting)

6. The gun registry program is trying to cut down on gun related accidents and injuries

7. You need to obtain a permit to buy one. Then you can purchase a hunting rifle. Your permit needs to be updated yearly

8. Yes. It is not a right to own a gun, it is a privallege
