So, when is a Christian congregation going to pull the trigger...so to speak...on this verse?
2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NIV
They entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul. 13 All who would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.
You folks aren't going to do the whole car bomb thing are you?

You gotta love comments like "God made himself known back then..."
That kind of comment is so cute.

PROGRESS: According to one person answering...Noah's Arc in unscriptural. We have referenced agreement that the great flood never happened.
((hope))

So, if the Noah's Arc didn't happen..and the flood didn't happen....but Jesus says it did...does that mean Jesus didn't happen? Why would God make this so conflicted?

God made Himself known to people back then where they didn't need the faith we need today.
If you see something with your physical eyes, then what's the use of faith?
People back then saw God's mighty hand move in a way that they couldn't reason there way out of it. They knew it was God.
The reason God hasn't come down on us lately like that is because we now are living in an age of grace because Jesus came and died for our sins, disbeliefs ect..
There will come a time of accountability when He will judge the whole world. but for now you still have time.
life's too short to screw up eternity, seek the Christ.

There is a scriptural old testament and an unscriptural old testament. The text alluding to Noah is not scriptural old testament. The John text superficially references Psalms 82:6; but I believe it goes further back referencing Exodus 20:3. The Jews viewed man as a false god. (See Gen. 3:5-6).

Another example of 'cherry-picking' verses. I even read once that Christians determined the Old Testament was invalid once Christianity came along. Also they used verses in the Bible that discussed slavery when they were still pro-slavery.

It surprises you that people can justify violence with religion? Any religion that they choose to focus on? Christianity is far from innocent. Islam is far from evil. Humans are far from perfect.
And using a part of the Bible to prove that the Bible is true is not valid.

Christianity is notorious for the pick-and-choose tactic. They choose which parts of the OT they would like to follow, and the rest is forgotten.

that particular area was applicable in those days. but we would be imprisoned and put in a mental hospital for that excuse. however, i do agree with it. all those who do not seek God are missing out on alot of great experiences.
