I just posted a few minutes ago, about my kitten passing away. Also, 2 days ago, a close friend of the family died at 34 of a sudden heart attack. I am having a REALLY hard time dealing with all of this. i can not eat. i threw up today, something i have not done in years. i can not stop crying, even when i try. is this an anxiety attack? or am i just having a hard time coping. i am only 20 years old. i feel as if i will go crazy sitting in this house alone dealing with everything.

I'm sorry to hear of your losses, and indeed the stress of dealing w/any loss can bring on panic/anxiety attacks. I actually experienced a severe attact about 3 weeks ago. I was flying to my hometown for the first time since my 5 yr old son passed away. The day before flying I was sick, vomitting and very weak. By the time I was on my connecting flight they had to delay the plane because I was vomitting again. And by the time I arrived in PA, I had to be taken by ambulance to the E.R., given oxygen and morphine, had severe chest pains and almost hyperventilated and passed out several times. What you are experiencing doesn't seem as severe, but that doesn't mean that it cannot become serious. You may just be having a difficult time coping with your losses right now, which is normal, but if it continues to get worse, you may want to seek immediate medical attention. Trust me, I'm 27 and don't think it's funny that my friends/family joke w/me about my "mini-heart attack" because what I was feeling was very real to me.
Good Luck and God Bless

(also, I had to add this: please do not let anyone tell you that you are overreacting or that you aren't handling it properly. Don't let anyone try to rush you through your feelings/emotions; deal with them in a way that is beneficial to your recovery. I'm sorry that I can't help you with that but a professional can, if necessary).

Same thing more or less happened to me last October. I felt that "Doom" & nothing could make me at ease. I found that it was something that effected me a long time ago & for whatever reason it came back in my mind. I went to my GP and was perscribed Cipramil & went to have counciling. Both of these combined helped alot. What i only found out recentily was that if you drink alot of alcohol it effects you really badly. I was at a party on Saturday night and on Sunday i thought i was going to die (not with a hangover) & this continued up till yesterday!! I will not be drinking alcohol anymore.... well maybe not as much!! Go see your GP, anxiety is very treatable it might take a while but it will ease & you will learn how to get ride of that feeling of panic before it comes to a peak. I hate the feeling so much, its mentally draining. It is also so common you would'nt believe, just say it to some of your friends & you will be amazed of so many of them having experienced the same as you at some time or other. Good luck & keep possitive.

Oh sounds like you're just really sad. It will take time to feel "normal" again. If you really feel you can't deal or the vomiting does not stop, see a psychiatrist. They may be able to help with counseling and/or medication. Good luck, honey and God bless you.
