I like your question.
My Theology instructor states he does not like to talk about end times because people get to upset. However, he always stated we are closer today than we were at any other point in time.
I feel it's important to be "Rapture Ready" To learn and ask questions. I agree with you that the world is escalating in evil, and there are signs that are given within nature such as all the storms.

Absolutely! The very things you spoke of in your question pertaining to the signs of the End Times are evidenced more and more as time progresses! The Scripture says about the last times, "This generation too shall not pass until ALL be fulfilled". Whatever is in store for us is obviously a mere portent of things to come! You think it's bad now? Just compare CNN nightly news to Revelation and though no man will ever be able to pinpoint the DAY nor HOUR of His return, they'll begin to see for themselves the imminence of His return!

In a way yes, population pressure is going to cause an increase in human tensions and expose more people to the consequences of natural disasters. This will lead to World War III where most of the worlds population will be killed. The bad news is, Jesus ain't coming back and nobody gets saved, civilization will be destroyed and have to start over, mankind "Might" survive, and in a few thousand years it will happen all over again. Unless that big freaking asteroid takes us all out at once then it is "GAME OVER".

I know a site who discusses the implications current events may have concerning the prophecies of the end times. WWW.fulfilledprophecy.com.
Great information and point of view.
Also tons of prophecy has to be fulfilled. The important thing is not whether it is right around the corner, it whether or not we are ready if it is. Some of it has concerning Israel that was not just 50 years ago, for all the 2000 years ago people. All of prophecy must be fulfilled, not some.

Things are better now than they were in the past. Look at any time, it was always called the end of times because of the bad events going on. We just have televisions now.
Besides, why on earth would someone destroy a planet full of billions of creatures just because one species needs to head off to some hell, thing. I'll never understand how people believe this.

The End Times are now!
No, wait, NOW!
Um, no, now!
now!
now!
(2000+ years later)
now!
no, now!
don't waste your life waiting for it. The only thing that has changed is that there is a pack of media wolves who like disaster, war, and terror because it keeps people from changing the channel. All these things have been going on since forever, only you didn't really hear about them then.

The signs you're seeing? Have been being seen for the past 2000 years. What do you think people were thinking during the Depression? Or WW2?

Well, if you read the Scripture and the news it's pretty clear this world is turning it's back on God. And the more and more we do that, the closer we are to Him setting us straight. I'm ready, unfortunatly, a lot are not

For 2000 years people have believed they're living in "end times". We're no more in "end times" now than we were 2000 years ago.

yes that is true, but Jesus says that we are only experiencing the birth pains and the end is yet to come soon after these have ended.
