I have been with my bf for 2 years(lived together for 1.5 yrs) and I moved across the country w/him because of his job. His job is now sending him BACK to where we are from, which we just found out. We talk about getting married and he always tells me that I am the one for him. I really want a commitment with all of this moving around the country that we are doing, but he keeps saying that he doesn't feel like there is any rush. I decided that I am going to move back to our state a few months ahead of him so that we can have a little time apart and so that I can find a job and have a little time to myself. He is very against this and does not want me to leave, but frankly I feel that everything has been all about him up to this point and now it is time for me to pursue my own wants and needs. Its not like we are married or even engaged for that matter, so I feel that he doesn't have a lot of say in this matter. I will be there for him when he arrives 3 months later. Any thoughts?

What a good girlfriend you've been up to this point! I totally agree with you - you've been the one sacrificing for him as his job moved and whatnot. You ask for a serious commitment and he wouldn't give it to you. Despite that fact, you stayed with him. He needs to realize that he has someone special who is in this for the long haul. If your moving back home early is going to make him fully understand it, then more power to you! I'd say go for it!!
Good luck.
