I just had to say that what the girl above me said, is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. I can't get mad at her though, I'm sure she was just repeating some brainwashed remark taught to her by her parents or her church.
Everyone in America (3rd generation, on) come's from different backgrounds and different cultures and I don't see us all running around having identity crisis' on a constant bases. How many people do you know that are only PURE one THING; and grew up in America and so did their parents and their grandparents. I don't know any! Nothing wrong with interracial; interreligion;interanything dating. If your cool with it and the girl is cool with it, then it's cool. Plus in a way it can make for a good bond because you can laugh at any narrow minded idiots who do happen to give you mindless dribble answers as to why you shouldn't be together.

The only issue I see with interracial dating is that dating often leads to marriage and marriage leads to kids. I've seen people of mixed race go through an awful lot of mocking, insults, and bigotry. It starts with other children making fun and continues as prejudice from other adults. In many ways I think mixed race people get treated worse than anyone in the area of racial prejudice. Being of mixed race neither of their ancestral racial groups accepts them. Thats my only issue with it.

Interracial dating is perfectly fine. Its about the two people involved, not their race.

I think that it's perfectly fine because you can't help who you love. Along with gay marriage I also think that is personaly fine as well. Because as simple as fact you can't help who you fall in love with. It's not like you can say no, I can't care for you just because your a different color than I am. It shouldn't matter. Interracial dating is something that a lot of memebers of society don't accept and there is no reason not to....Because in a regular marriage no one was saying that they couldn't marry their spouse. So I think it's fine. :)

It is not wrong, but it does have it's own set of problems. This day and age it is supposed to be all fine, but I have seen the problems that can arise from this. If you have friends that are not ok with it, you can loose them as well as family support if they feel the same way.

dating is definitely fine...when it gets to be longterm, then you might come into some issues...in the early stages, all you have to deal with is other ppl, and if you both agree that you're okay, with it, go for it! the only issue is later on, if you want to have kids...you have to realize that you're making a decision that will strongly impact ppl besides yourselves...you've agreed to put up with other ppl's idiocy, but make sure you don't mind making your kids do it, too. best of luck to you!

It's not for anyone but you to decide what's right for you. If you and your partner are okay with it, go for it. If either of you have hang-ups about the situation, then stay clear of it. A relationship has no chance of success if you go into it with doubts.
