The far east, the cruise starts off in Singapore, my whole family were on a Christmas cruise around the far east a while ago on a princess cruise .........they were not very good, if the children were not in the kids clubs they got annoyed, there was no family activities ........I go on holiday to spend quality time with my children and although I would not stop them going into the clubs, I think it is nice when they want to be with you, and have fun with there parents ...........

10. i had a freakin blast. the kids were having so much fun on that ship. they have a daycare center for when the parents wanted some alone time. so many things for a kid to do. i was on the Empress of the sea last year and that is their smallest ship and they don't have as much to do on that one but the other ships are just amazing. you will just love it...

I have only been on Royal Caribbean cruises around the Caribbean but I would give them a 9 for family friendliness (since no one is perfect). I went with my family which includes my parents, me (18), brother (15), sister (11), and brother (7). We all had a blast. There are tons of family activities on board from the pool to the miniature golf and sports court. Also, they have planned childrens activities (Adventure Ocean) at all times of the day (especially for the younger kids) so if you wanted to get rid of the kids for a few hours there is the option. Royal Caribbean is the only way to cruise...especially for families. The ships are the best in the industry and they are geared for families. Have fun!!

what about the far east? Do you mean eastern Caribbean?

I rate Royal Caribbean a 10.

Yes we took a Royal Caribbean cruise in the southern Caribbean and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We did not travel with children on that trip - but there seemed to be plenty of activities for families.

I did the Los Angelus to Mexico last January. They told us that there were three hundred children on board but to be honest I never saw much of them they were too busy. Some ships have a full programme for children you might only see them for dinner if they or you choose. I would highly recommend that company they are first class and great value for money. One bit of advice tho dont book excursions from the website or with the travel agent. They will have the same ones onshore for half the price. Enjoy.............. you lucky things.
