Was Harry Lench in the Royal Navy? If he was, you'll probably need to check out the war memorials at or near the shore establishment where his ship was based. Portsmouth, Chatham, Plymouth etc., all have Royal Navy War Memorials.
If Harry was in the Merchant Navy, you can probably find his name on their memorial which is located opposite the Tower of London on the north side of the road.

Start with his home town records. There should be a death certificate filed the for him. You might also try the archives at you local library. Local news papers were big on posting the deaths of young men from their town. There are very few places that consolodate deaths from WWII. If you have more information, such as a ship or when and where he was stationed you will have better luck.

Could not find him in the Social Security Death Index. If his proper name was Henry, he might still be there. It depends on whether he had a social security card.
Check out this family tree at World Connect and see if this is the fellow you are looking for:

Check the National Archives for his military records:

If you know the names, you can try the Navy Memorial. They have an online log of sailors. (I looked for the guy you gave, but didn't find him.)

Try the wall. Or if you don't have time to visit it, look at his hometown. They may have a memorial or at least some records of those who served from there.
