What is the best cruise line for young people who want to have fun and party?

I agree with Tinkertoy. Carnival is known as the fun ship, and there is a lot of partying going onboard, with a lot of young people (also a lot of kids and families) But, the accomodations, food, etc. are not the best quality I have been around.

I think that Royal Caribbean is a lot more fun, has a lot more to do and makes a big improvement over Carnival based on rooms, cleanliness, service, food, etc.

Carnival is almost always less, sometimes Royal Caribbean is a little less or the same price, but I think that Royal Caribbean is worth the extra money.

I've included a link to a site with reviews on all the cruise lines, it is really great and gives a ton of information. The message boards are also great for getting questions answered.

Carnival is the best party, party, party boat. BUT, I do recommend the new Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas. It is a fantastic ship with many amenities like the rock climbing wall, a full sized basketball court, an ice skating rink, a disco, a shopping mall and on the back of the ship the Flow-Rider. The Flor-Rider is a place where you can water surf on a boogie board and RC is the ONLY cruise line that has this, the new RC ship Liberty of the Seas will also have one. Check this web site: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/class/ship/home.do;jsessionid=0000oKiW0VyjH1snGtAm-sVPuGB:10ktdmkdk?br=R&shipClassCode=FR&shipCode=LB

RC also does a great cruise and has THE best private island on its western Caribbean itinerary when it stops at Labadee. That island has multiple beaches and is so large that they provide a free tram to carry you around it. It has Jet ski, parasailing, snorkeling and all kinds of activities available.

Frankly you can probably go on Carnival for less but you will have a better time and enjoy the accommodations, food and staff better on RC. That's my experienced recommendation.

most cruise lines are nice. i happen to cruise carnival more over other cruise lines. ive been on 10 cruises including carnival, royal caribbean, celebrity, and princess. the key is cruising on a newer ship! also, carnival does have larger rooms than most other cruise lines...i will never cruise royal caribbean again though...though the food and service was good, the ship was old and dingy.....TINY rooms too..a balcony is a must too

My friend went on a cruise and chose one that didn't have programs for kids thinking there would be no kids. Wrong! The kids ran wild everywhere and they had a bad time. His advice would be to find a cruise line that has programs for kids so they will be occupied! Good Luck and have fun!

I've been onboth Royal and Carnival..

For a party time go on Carnival. For a more upscale cruise but still a very good time go on Royal Caribbean.

Carnival hands down.

Just don't get stuck at Carlo's and Charlies in Mexico. (Any Carnival Past Guest can tell you about that place)
