I need to know where gambling came from for a school report. cant find it anywhere on the net... all the sites are blocked.

Pretty much always been around. Its mentioned in the bible in the New Testament and probably in the old as well. I'm with the guy above that says early man probably used gambling as soon as there was a ways and means.

Gambling probably originated the first time two cavemen flipped a flat rock for the skin of a sabre tooth tiger.
Gambling is probably as old as prosititution and thats as old as modern history. Very difficult question to answer as its too vague and you should write your paper on that. You should get an A for being logically smart and your teacher should be fired for being an idiot.

i like the answer of two cavemen flipping a coin, but I think inventing a coin would accelerate the minds of even the most intelligent cavemen, so I'll say that even before that, two cavemen probably raced from one point to another for a wager such as some kind of animal pelt or carved rock.
