This is based on the history of previous religions that thought they were the "one true way" and fell.

What do you think: 10 years, 50, 75? WIll we see religion go the way of racism as people die off?

Probably too many. They will stay rapped in that cocoon of ignorance for ever. Teaching their off spring generation after generation to fear their fantasy God until the end of time. They will probably believe they are experiences the rapture when a nuclear bomb wipes them from the face of the Earth. It's been around for thousands of years. What makes you think it will go away in ten, fifty or seventy five years. That is really dumb. Racism didn't go because people died off. Racism went because of the great Martin Luther King Jr. The freedom riders and Laws enacted to prevent discrimination. Yet there are still raciest among us. Religion is not race. We have laws to protect Religion.

History does show that religions eventually fall to the wayside but I think you need to take in Christianity’s size and benefits. Christianity is the largest religion too date. Most religions were stamped out because another cultures conquered them. This is something I hope can’t happen in the modern age. Christianity is too prevalent to be assimilated into another culture or too lose popularity. Also, the perks of Christianity are too good for people to ignore. “Accept Jesus and get a free pass into Heaven.” Christianity is also a relatively easy religion to deal with, unlike the more strict religion that place rules upon life. No, I think Christianity will be a bit too hard to die.

Considering the spread of Christianity, and the changes it's undergone since its inception, I think another 2000 to 4000 years is likely (assuming the planet is still habitable by then). Rather than disappearing entirely, I think it's more likely it will simply evolve into something that is unrecognizable by today's standards.

As to whether religion (and racism) will vanish as people die off, I think it's unlikely. If you mean as current Christians grow old and die, no on both counts. Ideas and beliefs seem to become more deeply entrenched as people age, I think. If you mean as mankind as a whole dies off from environmental changes and widespread warfare, I again say no. Racism will flourish, thinly disguised as nationalism, and more people will "find religion" as life gets harder...at least at first.

I believe that 50 to 75 years will change things a lot, but even then, I think it is possible that Christianity will hold a strong minority for hundreds of more years to come. Much like the Muslims in India before Pakistan.

Of course, I'm just talking in the US. In the world? Oh much much longer.

The first use of the word "Christian" in the Bible is found in Acts 11:26, "And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." It is found only twice more in Acts 26:28 and 1 Pet. 4:16. However, it is important to note that it is the true Christ that makes someone a Christian.

Christianity has been growing, proven archaeologically and is the one true way. There will never be an end to Christianity. Just as there will be no end of Christ.

The end of Christianity comes when the end of the age comes. Then we will all be sons and daughters of Christ. Why will Christianity last until then? It is because God has made it that way. The Bible predicts things that have come true and will continue to be fulfilled. Archeologist are finding things everyday which prove the Bible to be true. But I dont believe the Bible because of scientific thing or archeological finds. I believe in the Bible for what it says God can do in me. That is all the proof I need. Peace out........

Christianity will never end. God was here long before us and He will be here long after we are gone from this earth. I hope and pray for your sake He doesn't come right now. Revelations 21:6-8 And he said unto me, I am the Alfa and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Christianity already is declining, I believe it is because of the division within it's self, we are self destructing by having so many different Christian denominations interpreting the bible in so many different ways, that no one knows what the truth is any more, all religions of the world have really become monster bubbles and they are about to pop, and when this happens God help us all.

first....Christianity has lasted past all those other religions, and has lasted for over 1000's of years.

Racism didn't start till around 1840 due to a book published. That book was later melted into Darwin's book. Get a copy of it and read the actual title of the book and you'll see.

Know your history before you attempt to act intelligent...as those with intelligence will see straight through you.

It won't die out completely for a very long time. It has about 200-500 more years as a major religion. All religions evolve.

To the person who said Christianity has lasted past all other religion, maybe you should study YOUR history.

There are many religions older than Christianity.
Buddhism
Hinduism
Paganism

Along with many others.
