If you are living with your parents and they supplied more than 50% of your support, then yes your parents would be allowed to claim you. Though your parents are not able to claim the Child Tax Credit for you because you are over the age of 16.
If you have to file a return because you worked and got a W2 you would not claim the exemption for yourself

Yes, they can definetely claim you. Unless you did your own tax return and already claimed yourself, you are open to them. I'm assuming you live with them, if you don't there may be an issue.
If they are high income the benefit may be phased out, but if they were i would think they would have a better accountant that would have explained that.

If your parents housed you, clothed you, provided over half of your support, then yes they can claim you. They can no longer get Child Tax Credit or Extra Child Tax Credit, but if you are a full-time student, and/or handicapped and all of the other criteria is met, they can claim you until your 24th year.
good luck & blessing

To be considered a dependent, under federal guidelines you will need to be 21 years old with no dependents(children or husband) or your own. If you do have dependents then you are considered independent, therefore your parents can not claim you.

If you are a full time student, and live at home, yes they can claim you. There must be other circumstances that their accountant would tell them such. If not, I'd question the accountant.
