I tried Pro active and it gave me a rash, I tried lots of things, the only thing that is kind of working is the topical antibiotic the Dermatologist gave me. Go to a dermatologist! There are many different skin conditions and you should get diagnosed correctly.

I just went to the doctor yesterday and asked the same question. Her reply: STOP DRINKING SODA! I've used pills, medical creams and ointments, over the counter crap, etc. and of course, nothing has worked for me. I was even thinking of trying ProActive Solution you see on TV. But anyways, the doc said if I lay off the soda completely, my skin will start to improve. I used to have acne extremely bad but now it went down a lot. My only problem area is around my mouth. One other thing I do to keep my skin dry (I have oily skin): I go tanning a few times a week. This dries out my pores and has cleared up about 95% of my skin. And the benefit...you look great! The only bad thing is it greatly increases chances of skin cancer, and it's a pretty expensive treatment for acne. It's a win or loose situation, I guess. But that's what works the best for me so far. Now I will try to lay off the soda and see how much that helps. Hope this was some what useful. Good Luck!

Hi I just asked this ?? the other day. The best thing I've found is st ives apricot scrub, use witch hazel as a toner after washing, and treat the breakouts with tea tree oil which is found in the vitamin section of cvs or walmart, etc. This really dries the zit out and also kills the bacteria that is causing the zits. You can use vitamin e capsules (open them up and use the liquid inside) to treat any scarring from the blemishes. Good luck, Keep your hands really clean too and don't touch your face, also change your pilloe case often, and cover your face when using hairspray etc...

I use Acnefree. I love this stuff. It's a three step process and works great for me. This product has the same ingredients as proactive. I also use their acne peel.
Drink plenty of water. I don't mean one or two glasses either. Also lay off the soda, if you drink any. My doctor told me soda, candy, and greasy food has nothing to do with my acne. However I decided to take some advice from this lady at the Vitamin store. She told me your diet can effect your skin. I followed what she said for a month and my skin cleared up. Then I went to Orlando and started drinking soda again. Woke up with about 4 pimples. It's my own fault.

I've always had at least 8 zits a day from middle school and all through high school. I just always break out. I went to the dermatologist and asked for help and had no results for 2 years. But then I tried Adoxa. It is an oral medication. It helped me so much!! Now, I merely complain about "this random zit that came up yesterday, oh no ONE zit!" and when i DO get zits, I use Proactive Refining Mask. you don't have to use it all over your face. It DOES dry out your face though! (i have VERY sensitive skin but i can still use this stuff!) You dab a little bit of the mask on a pimple when it comes up and it'll be gone by morning (or the day after the next day after you use it). I use the mask on any zits i feel coming up. and they never show up bc the mask takes care of them!
But Adoxa is the best! If you keep up using it, then it works. Ask your dermatologist for a prescription!

I have problems with a lot of acne and I found that Neutrogena products work best for me. I wouldn't suggest spending the money on proactive or any of the other things you see on tv. They have the same medicine other over the counter acne medications have in them. You can go to Neutrogena's website and answer questions and they will give you what products of theres will work best for you. If you don't find that working, go to a dermatologist.

I use Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Complete Acne Therapy System. It has the daily moisturizer and overnight gel so it is a complete kit. It may take a few days for you to notice a difference, and you might get some dry skin at first but just keep at it! I don't go without it!!

I had a really bad acne problem and I'm 25 years old. I started using the Clinique 3 step products and now, I'm blemish free! You can get Clinique from department stores such as Macy's, Dilliards, and other high end department stores. You won't regret it!

Acutane is a dermatologist prescribed drug that WILL beyond the shadow of doubt get rid of all of your acne... but don't let that dermatologist fool you: it WILL dry your face out so bad that even 10 years later, you will be in an every-single-day battle with dry skin on your face.
