Basically, this is like Promise Keepers with more cussing and prayers like "Thank God for our testosterone!" GodMen is one of several new ministries that tries to make Christianity more "testosterone-friendly."

What do you think? Have any of you gone or encountered someone who has? And do you think the church and Christianity actually need to be made more "testosterone-friendly"?

I have not really come in contact with this GodMen organization. Promise Keepers I am very familiar with. PK is about men making and keeping promises to serve God, their family, and others around them. It helps men overcome many struggles in their personal and spiritual lives - and has saved many families in the process.

It is a fact that the modern man is more "domesticated" than his ancient counterpart. Many men now work in cushy offices versus grain fields and shipping yards. There is a lot of value in masculinity, and completely diminishing it in favor of a more "feminine" perspective will have negative consequences for future generation. It is a proven fact that children benefit from seeing a father/mother displaying the characteristics of both masculinity/femininity.

In conclusion, this GodMen is probably slightly over the top. At the same time, I see the value of attracting men that might not otherwise participate in any religious activity. Testosterone is not the source of all the world's problems. At times the bull-headed nature of many men can be valued for keeping them strong in their faith and in their moral judgments!

Like most religious activities, it is a waste of time.
