I just wanted to find out from others who are having their refund delayed if they filed using Turbo Tax.com. My refund was suppose to be refunded to me on 1-26. On the 26th when I called the IRS said that my refund had been refunded to my account, but when I called SBBT they informed me that they had not received my money. Therefore, I called the IRS and was told that there was a delay in the processing of, not only my return, but 72,000 other returns. Please give any information that you can about this. Thnx

Due to some last minute Tax law changes tby Congress, and added review of returns claiming the Earned Income Credit there is a delay in issueing refunds

I am in the boat with ya.. Turbo Tax and SBB&T is who I used. Refund was to be there on 01/26 still nothing. Called today and got the same answer as the other times I called. Delayed needed more time ( I did have EIC credit ) allow 2-4 more weeks. She said it was suppose to be 2-4 weeks from first refund date so by the end of the month the refund should be in the account or you should recieve a letter telling you more.

Good Luck
This is the first year I have ever had a issue with TurboTax but its some credit changes delaying everything

I filed and was accepted 1/14. Was expecting refund 1/26. Didn't happen. Again on 2/2, didn't happen. Called the IRS. Said that it is sitting in limbo after I got a reference code #1121. No one at the IRS knows what that means. I did talk to a tax advocate. I was told if it is not deposited by 2/15, they can expidite it and figure it out with the IRS. HOPEFULLY, 2/9, it will be there. I have no income with 3 kids since having been off work since June, 2006 and back fusion surgery 12/20/06, so I am in desperate need!!

If your return did not include any of the new deductions and there were no errors or past due taxes, your refund is being held for further review. Each IRS representative will give you a different explanation but this is what it really boils down to. No computer glitch, just double checking. Call your Taxpayer Advocate to get a clear explanation. Their number can be found on the IRS website. www.irs.gov

Yes, I filed with Turbo Tax just like I have for the Last 5 years. Nothing has changed, AT ALL. But now I am under review with 72,000 other people because of filing status, EIC and my kids last names are different than mine?? OKAY, where have they been, I have filed it like that for 13 years! I hope I am not getting audited. I am too POOR for THAT! Why don't they just bother the rich people??? Leave the single working moms alone-

Yes..same thing happened to me.

If you claimed the EIC, your return is being held an additional 2-4 weeks for review.
