You could try a little vaseline at night on just the dry spots, but have you ever tried plain aloe vera gel (the kind without any added numbing ingredients, just plain aloe vera) ? I also use the clinique 3 step system, and occasionally get dry/flaky in the same exact spots you described. Aloe vera gel has worked wonderfully for me, and its not greasy like vaseline. Just follow your normal routine and dab on some aloe on the dry spots. Give it a try :-)

see i m a certified skin care analyst placed in houston and dallas area,if u stay near 2 my place i will surely help u.if not dont worry i will help u online.see u said u do all d basic three steps ie cleansing, toning, moisterising.u can do this what i tell u.see products one uses ,one should know what suits one skin d bet.what i generally do is i test people skin and recommend them products.so what i tell u is 2 go for a daily skin care regime .use "ARTISTRY" which is one of d best brands of d world.it comes among d top 5 best selling brands of the world.go for a "ARTISTRY MOISTURE RICH DAILY SKIN CARE SYSTEM" ,which is realyy worth using.it consists of a
1 moisture rich vitalising cleanser
2 moisture rich refreshing toner
3 moisture rich protective moisturiser with spf 15 ,all these three products constitute a basic skin care.also what i recommend u is to go for a good scrub.never use any kind of a apricot scrub,as u can see when u use it and wash u r face mud particles in d sink.never use a apricot scrub it is not so good.go for a "ARTISTRY POLISHING SCRUB" ,which has jojoba beads which gently sloughts off dead skin cells.this is ideal for any skin.do email me if u want more details at ruma_jabeen@yahoo.com if u want it and u can also visit my page www.allbasicservices.com for more info

you could be exfoliating too much, dont use the st. Ives apricot scurb. It's like sand paper and will clog ur pores and cause alot more problems. you may also want to try and use a moisturizer that is for sensitve skin.

I've used olive oil before I go to sleep. Use enough just to coat the skin lightly.
Go easy on the exfoliate. Depending on what you are using, it could burn the skin and cause the flaking, just like a sunburn.

I use Olay daily face lotion. My skin was the same way and then I started using it and my face just looks natural and beautiful. To tell you the truth, no face scrub is really that good for your face. You should also try the face scrub from got to be. I use that and it feels really good and does not sting or dry your face up. It smells good too. Good Luck

Clinique Dramatically Moisturizer. something like that. It works REALLYYYYY REALLYY good. Just be sure not to use it too much because after awhile, you start to break out. Use it at night or after the shower. I carry one with me everywhere and whenever i start to peel, I just put some on and it's all better.

Well you may want to cut back on the exfoliating. What works for me is a simple rubbing from my towel. I scrub and it gets rid of the nasty flakes.
