If you want to lose weight quickly you can try doing something like SlimFast. However, it's not going to work for you long term because all you've done is lost water and is going to trick your body into thinking its starving. This will slow down your metabolism. The sad truth is that the best way to lose weight is to eat sensibly and exercise. If you lose 1lb or 2lb a week, you'll be less likely to put it back on again.

The fastest way is liposuction, but I wouldn't reccomend that.
The second fastest way is to become balemic or anorexic, but I don't reccomend that by any means.
The third fastest way, and the most practical, is to do the following:
1. Excercise daily (as you get thinner, excercise harder, but it must be done every day)'
2. Eat healthy (there really is no perfect diet out there, so I would reccomend going to a professional and having him set out an eating plan; do not stop eating, but just eat the right things, which I know is hard)

I've just joined a slimming centre recently as i'm having massive problems losing 4 kilos. I lost 35 kilos in the past and have managed to keep it off for the past 7 years; yet, whatever i have done right doesn't seem to be sufficient anymore. The technician at the slimming centre has advised me to be on a primarily protein based diet for TWO WEEKS exactly, cutting out all carbs ie. potatoes, rice, pasta AND BREAD :( , as well as sugar as much as possible, in order to lose weight quickly. She explained that my body has stored and is still storing too much sugar and fat and is keeping it. If i cut down, my body will start using the excess fat in storage and i should see a difference within two weeks. Proteins will give me strength and will allow me to keep my muscle mass.
I've started today.

There is no fast healthy way to lose weight but if you want to drop a few pounds in a realtively short time make sure you eat 3x a day even if they are small meals and make sure they are packed with protein (grilled chicken or fish with vegies) drink plenty of water and increase your cardio output.

It has got to be diet and exercise. Remove pasta and bread products from your diet, eat more fish vs red meat, lots of fruits and vegitables. Join a gym ang 3-4 days per week religiously-treadmill, stomach machines and swimming. Start reading food labels for fat/saturated fat contents, and as for ice cream, Dreyers LIGHT is the best. Avoid all processed food. Eat lots of vegetables, fruit, lean meat and fish. Only use healthy fats such as olive oil, canola oil, and nuts. Basically if you cut out all junk food, fast food convenience food....you will lose weight. Refined sugar, white flour and bad fats are just plain bad for you. Take up cooking and research healthy recipes. It can be lots of fun especially if you have a buddy to do it with.

Fasting would be the fastest way but make sure you keep yourself hydrated. Human can survive days without food but not water.

Small portions and a great exercise program.
When preparing your plate use a small plate. Drink 8 ounces of water before making your plate.
Try to cut as much salt and sugar out of your diet as possible.
Quit drinking pop and drink more water (that is a big one there)
Fiber, Fiber, Fiber. Oatmeal, bran, etc...Better than any laxative.
Raw fruits and veggies. Everything raw, baked or steamed and not fried.
