Hi, I lost my mum not long ago and have been really missing her, she often left me cards saying she will walk with me for eternity and stuff like that - I had a dream last night that my mum was at the end of my bed smiling at me and that she was happy she looked radiant, is there a possibility she visited me - I want honest answers please as it is all so strange. When I tried to reach out to her I couldn't touch her arm it was like water, and then she went.

Yes, dear one, that was a definite visitation by your "mum".
Relatives and loved ones on the other side often visit us in our dreams because it is easier for our ego to accept. When we are awake, it is harder for our consciousness to "see" them, so they visit at night when our sub-conscious is operating the show.

Your mum loves you and is always with you-behind your left shoulder.

Which is more likely:

-- that despite physical evidence over thousands of years that there is no "existence" after death, a magical spirit somehow manifested itself to you (while you were asleep -- why not while you were awake?)...

-- that you miss your mother, and were simply dreaming about her...

My dad died last year, I miss him too. I sometimes dream about him -- dreams are how our brains shuffle existing memories with new ones to store information, and if we're thinking a lot about something during the daytime when we're conscious, the likelihood of us dreaming about it goes up since our brains have a day's worth of thoughts on that subject to shuffle into long-term memory. There's plenty of natural explanations for how and why our brains do this -- there's no evidence that it has anything to do with "spirit" visits from beyond. So, again, which explanation is more likely?

I'm sorry for your loss, I know how much you can miss a parent when they've died. Hang in there, and remember all the good things your mother did for you -- as long as you remember her, that's a kind of continued existence :)

I honestly believe that she wanted you to know that she was ok and that she is there watching over you from a far. Make her proud! Sorry to hear of your loss.. I share in your sorrow as the same happened to me!

Yes she did in a dream. She was saying good bye in her own way. If u look in the holy book that pretty much was the favored way God used to communicate with us humans.

It`s a possibility. I`m an Agnostic and I don`t really know. I really would like to believe that there is life after death.

Why doubt the experience? How do you feel about it inside?

What others say does not matter.

It only matters that you thought it was a true visitation.
