I'm 18 now and i met my girlfriend back in highschool and we've been dating for about 8 months. When i first met her i gotta admit i only liked her because of her appearance... she hardly ever talks to anyone and when she's with my family the only thing she can say is "i dono" or "=)" lol. i've never met anyone so quiet in my life... i could deal with that because she has a great heart... but she has no goals. She's in university studying like "gym" or some crap like that while I am planning to become a pharmacist. I love her very much, and i know that she has a lot more to offer but i dont think a woman should hide in my shadow and i dont know if this is even a reason to think about breaking up with her. its like she her "goals" are pretty low...

Your going to become a Pharmacist so she will be under your shadow. How? If you don't like her as she is move on. Who the hell are you to say, "She has a lot more to offer." Your going to be a paid pill pusher, very impressive! Maybe, her goals are a simple life without getting involved in the rat race. She is 18 or younger? You and your family want her to answer your boring questions about, "What do you want to do with your life?" She is thinking, "I am still a teenager -As_ holes!" If she stays with you and your silly mapped out life, her goals are low!

Her "GOALS" are existent, though. She's majoring in gym, which is in fact a growing field. She could be a PE teacher, a physical therapist, etc. Those are all GREAT jobs. Just the fact that she's shy makes her a nice person. Tell her to not be scared of your family, instead of taking the high road and breaking up with her. AFter all you said she was attractive. you've got a hot, sweet, shy girl who is studying gym in a UNIVERSITY. What's the problem.....? You're taking everything for granted.

Since when do you "need" a reason. Dating is brutal.

You know and I know what you should do.

Get into Pharmacy school ASAP, get that degree, and watch the hotties come out of the woodwork.

Been there and done it.
