Nope. great big lie. But you do need to be careful. At 16 you are still growing. And lifting and put a strain on the joints.These are still growing as well. To avoid any potential problem is the future do not lift very heavy at this time. Go for lighter weights and more reps. Push ups and pull ups are also an excellent exercise at this time due to the lack of stress they put on joints. So enjoy your work out. Just use a bit of common sense. You will be fine.

Don't listen to what others tell you if they aren't doctors, everyone thinks they know this stuff and its not true. Lifting weights when you are 16 has nothing to do with your height.

A naysayer told me that when I was 16, but the truth is simply that the more muscle you build, the shorter you'll appear to others. Especially if your neck gets bigger as well.

its not a good idea because ur body is growing n lifting weights while standin is a very bad idea in the first place
