Give a full reason for your answer
personaly i think the chicken was a cross bread from to different animals and was born like a cat or dog but as they evolved they started laying eggs !!!!!!!

I believe the chicken because the bible said that he created all animals and they were living. They didn't come in eggs, they came living and breathing.
(Pretty sure i'm going to get thumbsdown for this answer) :)

the chicken evolved from da dinosaur, and then laid an egg. So...I guess it would be dinosaur>chicken>egg.
So....the chicken.....in a way...............
OH! And here's a joke for ya:
A chicken and an egg are lying in a bed. The chicken is looking very satisfyed, and smoking a cigar. The egg is looking a bit teed off. The chicken looks over to the egg and says "Well, I guess that answer's THAT question..."

Historically, I think you will be able to find evidence of eggs (in general) existing before chickens. They aren't chicken eggs, obviously, but perhaps reptilian eggs, but objects classified as "eggs" nonetheless.
As for objects classified as "chickens," they emerged in time much later. So, given this observation, it seems that a correct answer is that the egg came before the chicken, and at some point in history chickens started emerging from eggs.
