the amount of weight that is ideal for one to be bench pressing is always variable. As your body adapts you need to progressively add weight to stimulate strength and/or muscular hypertrophy.

There is no "ideal" weight. If you can do 300 lbs today, and six months from now you are still doing 300 lbs, that's very unimpressive. If, on the other hand, you can only do 120 lbs today, but 6 months from now, you can do 200 lbs, I call that ideal.

It's all about quality, not quantity. You need to push yourself to do better each time you workout. If you're not, then you're wasting your time.

not quite sure what your question is. there is no ideal bodyweight for a person to perform the bench press. the trainer should use whatever weight will allow them to properly execute the movement.

First try and see the greatest amount that you can lift, say 500 lbs, then halve it (250 lbs) and that is the correct weight to bench press.

The ideal weight is whatever gives you a good workout. That varies from person to person.
