What happened is that he dropped you for another woman. Seriously.
That relationship staled or broke up, so he's trying to come back to something more stable.
If there wasn't a reason why he broke up with you in the first place, that's exactly what happened. This also means that he didn't appreciate you or respect you to begin with. If he did, he would have been honest up front OR stayed with what he had.
You don't need the roller-coaster relationship and it sounds as if he's not mature enough for you anyway..
Not your fault here, Babygirl. I'd stay friends, but not in a relationship.
