But I want something that would go with my light brown skin and brown eyes - something different from the typical blonde streaks that some girls get. And my hair is super straight. Any suggestions?

My daughter just got hers done. It called a halo. she has long straight dark brown hair and tanned skin. (Hawaiian) She got a long razor cut then the stylist parted her hair like a halo. (in a circle) then she got a burgundy-red color put on the just the hair sectioned like a halo about an inch wide. Looks great!

How about a reddish color with even redder highlights?

You could get some soft caramel colored highlights that would be subtle
