The vinyl floor in my kitchen is all torn up from 3 dogs running across it to go outside. One dog is a pitt bull and 2 are Great Danes. I need to replace the floor but, I need something that can stand up to two 120 pound dogs. Is there a vinyl floor that can stand up to this? I would like to use vinyl and be able to put it in the bathroom as well. Let me know, thanks!!

There are different grades of vinyl. I'd recommend getting one that is commercial grade. It will hold up a lot better. That is what my parents did for their back porch. Armstrong usually is the best brand name to go with.

You have two options, if you want to stick with Vinyl. First, look at high-end vinyl floors. Those have the pattern running down through the entire thickness. They make scratches a lot harder to see. Your second option would be vinyl composition tiles (VCT). VCT is still vinyl but it's a lot harder. They have been extensively used on commercial floors. They will usually have a full depth pattern as well. Their advantage is their extra toughness. Their down side will be an added cost plus more time and effort to install.

You'll need commercial vinyl tile. You can use vinyl flooring if you put socks on the dogs. When they run and slip across the floor they will make it shine.

a high-end sheet vinyl would work, like an Armstrong or similar quality.

But you may want to consider ceramic tiles. They're indestructible, and it's funny to see hte dogs' legs moving w/o them getting anywhere! ;-)
