Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

Most of you have missed the point. You can only be saved when God calls upon you to do so. He can give you many chances but he will only be rejected for so long. You can't sin your whole life and then get saved right before you die. More than likely, after sinning your entire life, you have rejected God your whole life, and he won't be waiting to give you a last chance. God wants you to live your life for him, if you plan on living for you until right before you die, then pack for extremely hot weather.

It are all condemned to death by a just and holy God for our sins. We cannot earn our salvation. We cannot go to church enough, or give to the poor enough to pay our price. Jesus Christ is the only one who paid our price, and gives the gift of salvation only to those who place their faith in Him.

Even murderers, like SAul who became Paul, can repent and have faith in Christ. The Bible only says that blasphame against the Holy Spirit is the only unforgiveable sin.

Well without Jesus Christ you will not get there.
And once you have Jesus Christ you will not desire to get away with sin--for you will no longer want sin, and will not be under it's bondage.
But of course you will still sin, only you will be convicted by the Holy Spirit when you do...But Jesus is the only way to heaven- John 14:6

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

-Confess your sins to the Lord and repent, put your trust in Him, and you will have eternal life in Him. You are covered, forgiven past, present and future, and your old self is put away with, and your new self is now in Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:10
and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

You get away with nothing - either your sins are paid for by acceptance of the free gift of salvation provided by Jesus, in which case you would repent (turn away from) sin or you do not accept His free gift of salvation and keep on sinning. The change that would result from true conversion would keep you from wanting to sin. If there is no change, there was no conversion.

For one, you shouldn't be trying to "get away" with anything that a person can know through Bible reading and study is wrong in God's eyes. For another, according to the Bible, very few humans are given the gift of heavenly life. The vast majority of faithful ones will inherit perfect life here on the earth, that will be transformed into a paradise as it was at the start.

Your question really should be "How can I stop practicing things that displease God so that I may have the hope of everlasting life?". And the answer to that is prayer, Bible study, and a strong desire to know and serve God obediently.

If you have sinned you are spiritually dead. Even just one sin earns you death Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death...“ How do you feel when you see someone who deserves punishment go free? Well, see humans like to classify their wrong doings to a degree of wrongness, but God sees all sins the same, they all earn you death, even just looking at another man or woman & thinking you would like to do sexual things with them is wrong...even just THINKING it!!! So if ONE sin earns you death how about 100 or 200, how many counts of death do you think you have in Gods eyes?

Sin is more than just the 10 commandments...
Telling a lie...
Swearing...
Being drunk.
Lust...
Adultery...
Idolatry...(which by the way mean that you care more about what you want than what God wants! Not statue worshipping! Although that is a sin too!)
Stealing.
Coveting, (to want something that belongs to someone else!)
Envy
Greed
Loving ANYTHING more than God.
Etc.
Etc.

That is why the Good News is So Good, actually GREAT if you think about it. God sent someone to die for you instead. His name is Jesus!! He was perfect & sinless His whole life, He didn't deserve to die but He allowed it so that you might not have to serve your death penalty!
If you do not have Christ you cannot get to heaven, no matter how perfect you are or are not! He is the ONLY way!!!!!
However God wants you to prove your faith by doing what he wants, by submitting to Him, so you just can't keep sinning after you have accepted Christ! Besides you wont want to!

You can't get away with anything and go to heaven. The bible says we have to give an account to God when we die so I don't see that you can get away with anything and go to heaven. Why would you want to sin anyway if you are a Christian? The way I see it is do your best now for God not try to cheat on God. If you are true to God then you are sure to make it to heaven if you are untrue to God then you are sure to make it to hell. Me I'd rather live right, right now and go to heaven.

Quite a lot. Many of the things that you consider wrong and sinful are ultimately meaningless.

Well, at least in Roman Catholicism, there are only seven sins you can commit that are unforgiveable. These are lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride. Everything else is fair game, as long as you repent to god via a priest afterwards. So go forth, my fiend, and sin until the cows come home. Just don't get hit by a car on your way to the church.
