I want to put an 'if' command into excel, but how do I make the 'value if true' and the 'value if false' Yes and No, as all it will let me do is numbers as the outcome!

Put double quotes " before & after the Yes & before & after the No.

Use " (this is keyed in by pressing shift2) before and after yes and no. Like this:

=IF(A4=1200,"yes","no")

Where d1, d2 contain yes and no and c5 and c6 contain comparison values
