First go to a shop that will cut the split ends off. You have to do that because nothing will mend the ends they are dead. Once that is done to take care of it yourself try using a shampoo that is pH balanced like infusium or something that you like after shampooing do a deep condition. Then when all is done towel dry your hair and put some extra virgin olive oil on it. It helps to keep your hair naturally moisturized. This will really help with the split ends.

If you brush your hair too vigorously you can damage the ends.
Start brushing at the bottom and work your way up to the roots.
Use something like Alberto VO 5 hot oil treatments before you wash your hair and
keep getting it trimmed. Just a half inch. It will grow faster when you trim it.
Now would I lie to you?
Conditioners help make your hair easier to manage after you wash it so I would suggest you use one.
My Dad once told me that a woman's hair is her crowning glory and I think he was totally right.

If you are getting split ends that means that your needs to be trimmed. If you don't get it trimmed, your hair won't be as healthy so therefore will not grow as quickly.

........OK, the only remedy for split ends is to cut them...you can think you are repairing them and then eventually realise that they have went further up your head and now as oppossed to having to get your ends trimmed you have to get 2 inches trimmed or rather cut...
