LOL, thanks, but I'm an Avionics Specialist for the U.S. Air Force. I can fire an M-16 without blowing my foot off, but my main weapons are screwdrivers, multimeters, and technical manuals.

I've been into some really unpleasant places but never as a grunt. Sometimes I am honestly ashamed; it's almost as if I've cheated death by not taking my turn on the front line. But I am good at what I do and can say with a clear conscience that I am serving my country in the best capacity possible.

I'll take a raincheck on your thanks and extend it to my colleagues getting shot at. I'll celebrate when they come home after having kicked Islamic Extremist @SS. And I know they will, because they're AMERICANS.

I was in the Navy during the Iran/Iraq war and during the desert Shield and Storm operations. My ship was USS LaSalle(AGF-3) Command ship of the persian gulf. I was stationed there for two years and came back again for desert Storm.
