It's the way god made you, my brother can eat us out of house and home and NEVER gain an ounce, in fact he's underweight, I on the other hand have always been on the puffy size, we are born with the same mother and father. I don't get it either, I have just excepted it.

There are several reasons for this. First, and perhaps most importantly, difficulty losing weight is rarely a glandular or metabolic problem. The key to weight loss is to expend more energy than you take in. Second, I believe that people, women especially, don't realize how many calories they can safely eat without weight gain. Even when trying to lose weight they eat far more calories than they burn. Restaurants provide you with a far larger portion than you should eat. Third - know what your basal metabolic rate is. I am 5' 4" and I can only eat 1,200 calories without weight gain. I must reduce my caloric intake or burn more calories than I take in. When losing weight I try to reduce my calories to 1,000 a day and burn at least an extra 150 calories a day by exercise. Follow this kind of formula and you will lost weight.

A lot of depends upon your emotional state. Why your eating more than you should? Is eating your best friend when your depressed or lonely? Is your self esteem in jeopardy? Do you eat when your distressed? Do you calorie count and burned calorie count and do the math? Do you have large family members? If its yes to any or all of them then its time to take it to the next level and that's a professional. Be that is a Shrink or a Nutritionist.
I suspect you are losing this Battle for weight loss?

Because we are not all suppose to be size 6 or 4 or whatever, if we were we would all be the same size babies, and children. If we all looked like supermodels how boring would that be? Seriously metabolism is a major player, my best friend and I eat the same, she lays around more than me, we are the same height and she is thin as a model, I am Lane Bryant material. Good luck.

Genetics. The weight loss industry has been making millions and millions of dollars on women's dreams of being fit and shapely. Those dreams, however, are mere wishful thinking for most women because genetically they don't have the genes to be fit and shapely. Yet they keep on spending and spending money in hopes the dream is true.It's not.

For many people eating is not a way to stay alive - it is a reason for living. In their minds food represents all that was pleasant about childhood and family and also a great way to be in charge of their lives. Even when they think about how fat affects their appearance and their health those thoughts slip away as soon as they see something good (or even halfway-good) to eat.

b/c it all depends on your metabolism. some don't want to put forth the effort and dedication it takes to loose weight. some don't like the restraints of loosing weight, i.e., diet change, exercising, etc. good luck on your outcome.

thinking about loosing wait or going on a diet can make u want to eat more than u usually would to be hounest you would proberbly be better off maybe just making a new years resolution than concentrating on your whole diet

I am not sure. I have a problem myself. I am very active but I find that the pounds won't shed. Anyone else who answers this question........tell me if you ever tried a diet pill that worked and what it is. Or a crazy crash diet that works!!!
