I live in the midwest, and we're in the middle of a 2 week coldsnap where it hasn't risen above 0 degrees. The only place I'm warm is in my own house, away from the windows. I can't relocate or take long vacations right now. I dress as warm as I can, without visiting a hunting and fishing sporting good store. I wear 1 layer of long underwear (top and bottom), a turtleneck, and a heavy sweater, thermal socks and $200 hunting boots, wear a hat/gloves.............an... I'm still unable to keep the cold from making me extremely distressed. Do hunting and fishing sporting goods stores have more extreme (more expensive is fine) clothing for these extreme temperatures?

If you have the money, invest in a jacuzzi. If you don't, get a hotel room with a jacuzzi or hot tub and relax for a day. It's not a total remedy, but you will be core-warm for a good few days.

When your exposed to a chill over a long period of time, it is hard to remain warm. Bring up your core temp with a jacuzzi and go back to warm clothes. You should warm up.

I'm freezing right now in the NE.

in some sporting goods stores and probably walmart they have battery opperated socks and hand warmers.check it out.not expensive.also get a warming throw from walmart for the daytime for watching tv or reading.it's electric.and for nightime in the bed just take your throw and put it at foot of bed for warmth.I have one and it is fabulous.PUT IT UNDER YOUR FITTED SHEET TO KEEP IT CLEAN.good luck,my cold friend.

Drink lots and lots of hot liquids (ex. tea, coffee, hot cocoa). Eat soup for your meals. Maybe a space heater at work. I'm freezing over here too. I thinl its like 12 degrees outside with the windchill. good luck.
