Every day I fall for this crap.
I thought you actually had a question.
I will learn eventually I guess.

And for the people that feel a foetus has a soul before birth, explain to me whether or not the "twin" that was absorbed by that poor man in India had a soul...?

That's a premodern concept.
"Soul" refers to the complex ZPF wavefunction associated with the particular instantiation of a constellation of matter-energy events comprising the phenomenal manifestation of an individual. In panexperientialist terms, the "soul" is the experience and conditional self-determination of this wavefunction in its multidimensional polarization and superposition with other ZPF wavefunctions.
EDIT: For a scientific explanation of the soul, I get thumbs down? Geez.

I'd ask you to watch the National Geographic "In the Womb" specials. It is so blatantly obvious that these are little human beings, and they're acting human already (sucking their thumb, kicking, etc.) They respond to music and touch and their parents' voices. If they don't have souls, none of us do. The "breath" thing comes from a primitive understanding of science. We've gone past it now.

I've never heard that it's dependent on breath.
But, as a pregnant lady who's seen my unborn child waving at me in an ultra-sound, I know that child has a spirit, I don't know how, or when it got it- but I know it does...maybe that's just something that only women who have been pregnant can really understand.

A fetus does not have a soul...old teaching.
A miscarriage could happen, but this is not considered an en-souled being.

I've said this before, too, but nobody saw it this way. "That's one way to interpret it," is what I got a lot of.
Genesis 2:7 the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
