Which known neanderthal?? My uncle matches my DNA 97%. He must be a step lower than a neanderthal. If there's only 0.5% difference, he must be one of us then after all!

First, we don't KNOW for a fact it's a NEANDERTHAL, that's name give to something.
Once upon a time a name called PLUTO was a planet, but TODAY science has declared it's NOT a planet so the NAME PLUTO is no longer a planet.
Once up a time the name BROTOSAURS was a breed if dinosaur, but SCIENCE has decided it's not longer a breed.
Tomorrow science may disown NEANDERTHAL. That's how science works, like it or not.
Like it or not YOUR words may go down in history as foolish and old wives tales, because SCIENCE will disown YOUR WORDS.
What will YOU say when SCIENCE does that to YOU.
And in 9 million or 9 billion genes what does 0.5% amount to!
One GENE different, say the one that lets you SPEAK, is enough to NOT classify you as a human but as a lower animal.
By the way, WHAT SKIN COLOR was this NEADERTHAL, was it BLACK, WHITE, RED or YELLOW?
Hey, you want to put a picture of a Chimp into your family album and claim it's your great, great, great, grandaddy, I won't stop you.
That's not my grandaddy!
I didn't come from a cat, dog, paraket or chimp!

Excuse me but where did you get this? I was of the understanding that Neanderthals were only very distance relatives. If our DNA is a 99.5% match for theirs, all previous beliefs in the development of our ancestors is wrong and we are descended from Neanderthals and we are not Homo Sapiens or any such thing! This is scary.

What are you talking about?
A team of U.S. and German researchers has extracted mitochondrial DNA from Neanderthal bone showing that the Neanderthal DNA sequence falls outside the normal variation of modern humans.
"These results indicate that Neanderthals did not contribute mitochondrial DNA to modern humans," says Dr. Mark Stoneking, associate professor of anthropology at Penn State. "Neanderthals are not our ancestors."
I found over a dozen articles from science just by googling , DNA of Neanderthals and humans. You really need to research.

The fact is,no matter what evidence science finds that seemingly proves evolution, science cannot disprove God. Therefore, there is no excuse,no,not even evolution,to not believe in God.

Neandrethal(s) was a human with poor bone structure.
No suprise he matches our DNA, because he is human.
