About three years ago, my immune system was awesome! I hardly ever got ill and cut, scratches and even fairly major wounds healed quickly. I felt generally healthy. But now at 18 my health is the worst its ever been- I seem to catch a fair few colds, i'm constantly cold (toes and finger especially), my fitness is fairly good, I run at least once a week, do jujitsu and usually fit some other exercise in, I eat relatively healthily and take vitamins occasionally (although I admit to being fairly forgetfull on this one), I'm a vegetarian and always have been (don't know if this matters)
A fewe people have suggested that it's stress related. I'm a second year a level student with the ambition of studting veterinary sceince. I have a fairly big worload but not unmanagable so I don't see why it should be stressed (I study physics, chem and biol). Family life isn't great but I don't see how this would effect my health?
Soooo (sorry, not so breif) How can I geat my health back? Any ideas?

It sounds as if you have some sort of nutrient deficiency. Do you eat enough nutritious foods? Being vegetarian your Iron stores could be low. Zinc and Vitamin C contribute to wound healing so if you don't have enough of that then your body could suffer. Eat loads of pulses, lentils, fruit, green leafy veg (for vitmain B which will benefit you greatly), grains. If you are deficient in vitamins and minerals then it could be useful to take a supplement to make sure you're getting enough.

Try using good supplementation from a1diet.net. They are the best I have found. You can speak to someone personally and they will tell you what would be best for you. I use several of their products and I haven't been ill for almost 6 years now. Not even a cold!!!

you seem to be doing all the right things, the only thing left is your enviroment which you have some controll over.If @ uni it is common for virus to spread quickly due to sheer numbers of people you come into contact with(freshers flu) so anti bacterial soap to wash your hands, stay away from dirty boys and eat a bit more fruit.Your home enviroment, kitchen and bedroom need to be clean as good places for bacteria to hide...only mentioning these things cos you doing everthing else right so enviroment has been chosen.
stress does affect your immunity and is something that creeps up on you so don't dismiss this as a cause

Foods like Cranberries, yogurt, onions and garlic. I do not believe in mega dosing with vitamin pills. Make sure you eat a well balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables; get plenty of sleep and exercise. Since I work with little children who are prone to colds and upper respiratory infection, I take a larch extract supplement during the "cold" season. Be sure to get your "flu shot" and "pneumonia shot". There is some good information listed in the source below.
