I am willing to bet that it may be better to try install in safe mode(hit f8 several time while its booting up , before VISTA STARTS TO LOAD). If that doesnt work or isnt available Make sure every virus scan and any extra program is not running. Also VISTA has many annoying features and incompatibility problems. I was unimpressed running AA on my VISTA RC1 beta.
It would work but it was very buggy and choppy.I would just hope that the laptop you have has dedicated video memory and not integrated. And it has at least two gig of ram bare minimum. and hopefully a 5400 RPM Speed drive. Also you may want to run vista in classic mode by turning off all bells and whistles(aeroglass). I would aslo make sure directx 9c is installed already. Otherwise the game may never be enjoyed to the fullest.

Vista is the newest Operating System from Microsoft. Windows XP had a feature that allowed you to set what version of windows that program(or game) ran on. It then would emulate the program to make XP like and older version of Windows. For example a Windows 98 game would be emulated to work on XP.

Now since Vista is an upgrade I am sure it would include this feature.

Yep, you jumped the gun and offered Vista. not extremely particular how a software jointly with vista is also released at the same time as they don't make it properly proper with each thing available, before hand. They in the back of agenda it what number cases, and nonetheless it really is not everywhere close to waiting or properly proper with alot of issues. really at the same time as a clean operating gadget comes round, supply it 4 to 6 months before paying for it, or you'll continuously run into this example.

vista has many problems with compatability, you will just have to wait and see if a fix is issued for this
