I always buy Yoplait's "Original 99% Fat Free" multi flavored yogurts such as strawberry, vanilla, peach, wild berries, etc. About 5 weeks ago I've started to eat better (no soft drinks, fast foods, no sugars, and drinking water, among other things found on "The Abs Diet" to get those hard to get six packs. I'm making progress (I'm 5'11 and now about 162-165lbs), but figure I need to lose an additional 10pounds (I due cardio everyday). I want to know if this brand of yogurt is helping or hurting my progress:
Calories: 170 Calories from Fat: 15
Total Fat: 1.5g
Saturated Fat: 1g
Trans Fat 0g
Cholesterol 10mg
Sodium 80mg
Potassium 260
Total Carbohydrate 33g
Sugars 27g
Protein 5g

The thing that worries me is the carbs and the sugar. Is it a lot?

If you had been following the fund, you would know that the information you are now showing from the site is very new - there was no such waffle earlier in the campaign, and the paypal signs were much more prominent... The point is the McCann's can and are profiting hugely from the fund, quite legally, as one of the articles states that one of the purposes of the fund is to assist the McCann's financially, i.e. they are the beneficiaries of the fund. What else do you call that if not profiting? Worse again, because it's a non-profit outfit, they can apply for tax exemption for the total amount raised! And purleese- they aren't directors, so can't decide on how the money is spent??? Have you seen the list of buddies that ARE the directors? You can't seriously think that Gerry isn't controlling exactly how the money will be spent... By the way, not for profit companies CAN have profits, they just have to be careful about how much income they generate- hence £2 per wristband in the online store (I still can't say that without gagging) - but legally and ethically they are allowed to trade at a profit. If they donate all the money they received to charity, and provide an itemised and transparent list of search-related expenditure, I'll eat my hat, and be glad to do it.

How many of these yougurts are you consuming a day? They have enough sugar to cause insulin spikes, which will hinder your goals. I'd recommend whey protein with low GI index fruit like apples or grapefruits in lieu of the yogurts.

Designer Protein is probably the most affordable whey protein on the market. Optimum whey is another affordable alternative, however I can't stand the taste.

I think maybe you should switch to Dannon's "Light N' Fit" yogurt or smoothies. They also have some YUMMY flavors, and is totally fat free. You could try it as an experiment and see if it gets you anywhere.

That's quite a bit of sugar per serving. I suggest you switch to plain, unflavored yogurt.
